Summer Vacation 2023

This summer was intense, Cezar and I traveled in 4 countries: Norway, Germany, Austria, and Romania. We saw many beautiful places and had lots of fun with our friends at the festivals.

A Summer to Remember

Before starting the official summer vacation, Cezar and I traveled to Oslo, attended the Tons of Rock Festival, and visited the city. We’ve been there before, but it’s the first time Cezar got to visit Oslo during the summer and experience the beautiful Midnight Sun.

After the festival, we spent some time in Oslo. During the day, I worked at the office, got to meet again my colleagues, and enjoyed the amazing food that Nina was preparing. In the evenings, I was visiting the city with Cezar and Andrea, so that felt like a vacation as well.

We met Andrea again and visited together the city. She is also a concert photographer and attended the festival, you can see some great photos on her website.

Second Stop: Germany and Austria

We planned for a while to get away, just the two of us, perhaps for some hiking and spending more time in nature to recharge.

We visited Hallstatt, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Linz, and the natural parks, lakes, gorges, caves, and mountains nearby.

Culinary speaking, I have a big dilemma now: Which is the best cheese soup, the German one or the Austrian one with grilled cheese dumplings?

Concerts and Festivals

We live in a big city, with many opportunities in terms of live events, but I have to admit that there were a few concerts I was very excited to see this year: Depeche Mode, Porcupine Tree, Perturbator, and Crematory.

Summer comes with some traditions for us, so ARTmania and Rockstadt Extreme Fest followed.

I got to see Porcupine Tree for the first time, this was a dream come true.
